Road Less Travelled

In this hustle-bustle of life, we seek a quiet road that although the journey is not efficient in terms of getting to one’s destination quickly, it is effective in restoring not only the peace one seeks but one’s soul. The question is “How do we often travel this quiet road?” Shouldn’t we stop often and savor the mountain vistas and the last of the brilliant autumn leaves? Do we exit the fast lane of responsibilities and concerns and maybe focus our attention to God for a time each day? He has His own CCTV system to see us in our merriest and weariness; and provides a quiet place where we can rest awhile, a place closest to the heart of God; a place where sin cannot molest. Our Lord is always with us whether life is hectic or calm, but there is great value in taking time each day to walk the quiet road with Him.
